Planning for New Plumbing Installations

When the time comes to get new plumbing fixtures installed, there are a lot of things to consider. You'll probably start off by looking at some of the latest designs, so you can choose the best fixtures for your kitchen or bathroom. Once you have an idea of the type of fixtures that you like, it will be time to get plumbing estimates for the work.

Here are some tips to help you get the right plumbing estimates for your renovation or replacement projects:

•    Consider Your Time-line. You'll undoubtedly have a time-line to complete your project. Make sure that you know what your expectations are and discuss them with the plumbing company representative. Some smaller plumbing companies may not be staffed adequately enough to meet your proposed deadlines, while the more reputable plumbing companies should be able to work more realistically within your schedule.

•    Prepare for an in-home visit. For a new plumbing installation or replacement, most plumbing companies will want to visit your home to see what kind of work is needed. If possible, have the area clean and ready for a quick inspection.

•    Ask if the company offers free estimates. In this day and age we are all used to seeing the words "Free" and "Estimate" together. But some plumbing companies do charge to offer estimates on larger installation jobs. Find out up-front whether or not your plumbing company of choice offers free estimates on their work.

•    Check References. Before you get any plumbing estimates ask for references from past customers. A well-run plumbing company should have plenty of satisfied customers, so don't be shy about asking potential plumbers for a list of references about the work that they've done in the past.

If you've been planning on getting new plumbing fixtures installed in your home, you'll be excited and relieved when the project is finally complete. Of course, by planning ahead of time and getting plumbing estimates, you'll be able to plan the project right – from the very beginning. That way it's more likely that you'll find a reputable, experienced plumbing company to take care of your project, so the end result will be as good as – or better than – you ever expected. By having plumbing estimates up-front, you'll be more likely to avoid any unforeseen expenditures or surprise charges.

Plumbers use video cameras for inspections of hidden leaks or problems, they use hydro jets, and high pressure hydraulic pumps connected to steel cables for trench less sewer line replacement. Thanks.
